Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I am a 4th year student in Concurrent Education with a major in health studies. After I graduate this year, I will return to Queens for one more year of teacher’s college, in which I hope to teach students grades 4 through 8. What inspired me to take this course is knowing that I will be entering the workforce (to complete my placements) next year and want to educate myself on both the labour and employment laws in Canada and policies that govern the workplace relations. After reviewing the topics of the modules, the public sector labour relations is a topic of particular interest to me, as well as the labour and employment law. I look forward to meeting the rest of you and getting to know why you chose to take this course.
